Vintage Clean Reliable Brothers 7 hole ceramic flute in wood box G
Greetings...time to pare down my instrument collection. First up is this gorgeous, unsigned (but research identified the aforementioned Reliable Brothers...) glazed ceramic 7 open hole flute encased in a fine wooden box with leather snap closure. (my woodworking partner identified it as possibly Philipene mahogany) The flute is in flawless condition, no chips, cracks or crazing. The box shows assorted minor wear...I only rated it 'good' because of its age.. since the first set of pics, I have replaced the missing felt I side the wood case.see last pic,please. Idk why mercari makes it so dark.Box measures 17.5X 1.75 and the flute is 15.5 X 1. The tambre of this flute is rich and velvety, imo. I honestly haven't played it much though, as I am not particularly a flutist. There is a book available online for it. I promise it will be swaddled with care for its journey from me to you.
