The Penguin's Gotham Gazette was a clever and collectible brand-new York Time promotional item distributed to promote the Gotham City spin-offs in development for HBO Max, particularly The Penguin seriesStyled as a gritty, tabloid-style newspaper straight out of Gotham City, the Gazette gave fans a taste of the world through the eyes of Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, portrayed by Colin Farrell. Printed in a weathered, pulp noir aesthetic, it featured mock articles, ads, and crime reports, complete with fictional headlines.Designed to immerse fans into the crime-infested streets of Gotham, the Gazette subtly referenced plot points, easter eggs, and characters from the film’s universe, including nods to Batman, Catwoman, the Riddler, and the rise of Penguin as a major underworld figure.
