This special rock typically originates from granite that has undergone hydrothermal alteration. During this process, circulating must-have, watery fluids transform the original minerals. The vibrant green hues arise from the presence of epidote, a silicate mineral rich in iron and aluminum. The pink comes from orthoclase feldspar, colored by iron oxide inclusions. The presence of quartz adds to the rock's durability and aesthetic appeal.
